Afford a GALAXY
S4, HTC ONE and an iPHONE 5.
The Smartphone
market leaders, be it HTC, Samsung or Apple are renowned for their beaming
performance, sturdy build and speedy mechanism. But this doesn’t stop them from
flaunting their design and looks. While the fortunate ones have it in their
pockets, others just dream of it. What if I tell you that you can afford the
beauty and the looks of these otherwise expensive gadgets?
There may be a
lot many reasons why you should take a peep into the next big things mentioned
below. One, you can fool your friends into believing that you indeed own one of
these. Two- you are attracted by the looks and interface of these phones and
got to do nothing with their performance.
Chinese
knock-offs of super-successful gadgets are nothing new. These often look
similar and sometimes, operate too enough to fool an unsuspecting buyer into
buying a replica instead of the genuine one. Here is a list of some of the
interesting but hilarious knock-offs.
HDC GALAXY S4
You read it
right. While the Samsung S4 might burn a hole in your pocket, this one would
easily fool your friends. This handset looks more or less identical to Samsung
Galaxy S4, even the interface hasn’t been spared. The touchwiz UI has been
painstakingly recreated but lacks many features.
The HDC is
powered by a Mediatek MTK MT6589 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz and runs
on Android 4.2 JB. The display has a resolution of 1280 X 720 pixels with
293ppi density. It is available online priced at $199 if you wish to get your
hands on it.
GOOPHONE i5
The iPHONE 5 has
become quite a status symbol but unfortunately, is a bit out of reach of most
people. Fret not, Goophone is here to save your day.
Don’t get fussed
by its name, the Goophone looks exactly as the iPHONE 5, even down to its
button placement and 4 inch display. A geeky friend might just catch you,
thanks to the key differences between the Goophone and Apple’s current
flagship.
Surprising
absolutely none, the Goophone runs on Android 4.0 ICS. The resolution is only
960 X 540 pixels, nowhere near the iPHONE 5’s retina display with 275ppi pixel
density. A lot of time, however has been spent on modifying the software to
make it look as much as the iOS. All the stock apps, including the photo
gallery and camera app has been themed to look like iOS. Its not just that,
even the essential back button of Android has been hidden behind a long press on
the home button.
Place the two
side by side, and I am sure it will be hard to tell them apart unless you know
what to look for. The Goophone has been priced at $199.
HDC ONE
The aluminium
based unibody design of the HTC one might just be out of your reach due to its
price. However, we have got you a cover- the HDC ONE. The user interface looks
exactly like the Google play edition of HTC ONE.
The hardware
however, is a far cry from that of the actual one. The HDC seems to be woefully
underpowered starting from its display resolution of 1280 X 800 pixels as
opposed to the original’s full HD display of 1080p and is powered by a Mediatek
MTK MT6589 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz. It runs however on Android
4.2 JB.
At $219, this
might be steal when you consider the fact that it has an aluminium body.
